The Politics of the street
Value basis of young people and perception in public space
Following on from the earlier presentation, the forum aims to create a space where participants can share their experiences of ‘the politics of the street’. Are their commonalities across our national contexts? Are there examples of politics being supportive of our work, as against detrimental to it? How do we respond positively, either way? Is our value-base in need of review?
Key themes from the presentation will be reiterated and then time given to dialogue and enquiry in smaller groups. What can we learn from each other: What are the characteristics of good work in a political context? How can we communicate more effectively with the ‘political world’ in order to achieve our aims?
In sum, what are the training and practice implications of trying to meet these challenges?
