Programme

The plenary session about the STAN-programme will start with a short introduction about Stockholm and some important prevention definitions. A foundation for the preventive work in Stockholm is working with risk- and protective factors. A common question in preventive work is whether we should focus on exposed and vulnerable groups or if we should work towards the general population. The STAN-programme indicates that different levels of prevention should be combined. An important issue, taking a start in primary prevention and promotion, is to highlight the need for cooperation between different actors since drug prevention is a question not for a few specialists only.
